about
I wrote "Brand New Start" when I was going through a uncertain part of my life and I found out I had to give up a career due to having foot surgery four times in the last ten years. I guess this song is me is reflecting back through those years and saying it's alright to be unsure if you have to move in a different direction. Just as long you stay strong and don't be afraid to make a Brand New Start.
If you also buy this single then 50% of single sales will go into paying towards Musicians Together music charity singles in the future and the other 50% will go back into financing more music releases from myself in the future.
lyrics
Verse 1
It’s been 6 years
since the day
We were on the
Lanes of Fabian Way
Verse 2
An I can’t help
But stop and think
Of those good times
Verse 3
Ever since that day
I have lost but found
Good people along the way
Verse 4
Although pains me to say
I do wish some people
Were in my world
Pre-chorus
I don’t know what fate will bring
But I know I got to be strong
Chorus
I can’t deny
So hear me say
This is the time for us
To make a brand new start
X2
Verse 5
From that moment
On that Sunday afternoon
Back in May
When we had the best roast
On the South Coast
Watching the waves
Verse 6
You have given me strength
And a place I can call home
Pre-chorus
I don’t know what fate will bring
But I know I got to be strong
Chorus
I can’t deny
So hear me say
This is the time for us
To make a brand new start X2
Pre-chorus
I don’t know what fate will bring
But I know I got to be strong
Chorus
I can’t deny
So hear me say
This is the time for us
To make a brand new start
X2
